There are two Malaysia. On one hand, the exotic land, land of adventure and fevered dreams, populated by pirates, wild hunters, English colonists tea drinkers and sultans ... On the other, a dynamic and modern country living between highways , skyscrapers, oil industries and megaprojects, good student of South East Asia in perpetual motion.

What is expected unless, perhaps, it is this Malaysia enriched by its ethnic diversity, where Muslim Malays form only a tiny majority, alongside very many Chinese, Indian and Tamil ... A true melting pot, reflecting the varied origins of the past settlers and workers from across the East, although we do not really mix between communities. A kaleidoscope prism which would Kuala Lumpur. 

Both Malaysia share a natural border, long time impenetrable, the confined mountainous jungle in the heart of the old country. So we find: in the West, a developed country around the colonial trading, industrial, concreted, which owes much to the excitement China trade; to the east coast of the beautiful beaches, typical Malay kampungs to wooden houses on stilts, tropical islands.

To understand this strange duality of Malaysia, we will not neglect the colorful temples,  colonial cities (Georgetown, Malacca), nor the heavenly landscapes or the fishing villages enveloped by legends (Perhentian, Terengganu, Cherating ...). We will not forget especially the jungle peninsula (Taman Negara), one of the oldest forests in the world, full of fascinating wildlife, aboriginal kingdom nor the beautiful tea plantations of the Cameron Highlands.

Not forgetting of course the Malaysian part of Borneo Island, wonderful seascapes, beach, wildlife, jungle .....
