This beautifully restored 18th century French farmhouse, just outside Bergerac is splendidly placed for discovering or re-visiting the numerous Chateaux, vineyards, prehistoric sites and eateries that make this part of France still so sort after. Previously derelict the building has been brought back to its original state by dedicated French owners over the past 20 years. Set in over 9 Acres of private land, half of which is dedicated to mature gardens/lawns is a super place to holiday. A New large, walled swimming pool (14x7) & garden area solely for guests has recently been completed & is perfect for sun worshippers, this is accessed via the large ground floor double bedroom (kingsize bed) out to the rear of the house. Guests can also leave their car here if preferred. A large, well equipped kitchen and a huge sitting/dinning room ( Mezzanine not accessible) with 3 sets of doors leading to the front terrace, make up the rest of the groundfloor living space. The remaining 3 bedrooms ( 2 double, 1 twin) are on the first floor along with the main bathroom. The friendly, yet discreet owner lives to the left of the main house and tenders to his well kept grounds, both pools (his private one is to the left of the main driveway) & his many 2 & 4 legged friends (4 resident donkeys, sheep, ducks, chickens, pigeons) all of which are in enclosed paddocks/ cages to the rear & far side of the property. Guests are most welcome to visit if they desire. Bergerac, 15kms, all facilities, many restaurants, cinema, canoe hire. Saint Emilion, 43kms, beautiful village to visit surrounded by impressive vineyards, Chateau de Monbaziallac, 17kms, open to the public and surrounded by numerous vines that produce wine of the same name. Monpazier, 60kms, beautiful bastide town. Bordeaux 87kms.
