We are situated in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, in the foothills of the Drakensberg mountains an authentic country escape.
Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Midlands, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re far from the madding crowd. Yet, being just a stone’s throw away from the N3 highway, we are accessible and central to the famous Midlands Meander, which makes it the perfect destination for your dream wedding, conference or getaway.

With either hotel or self-catering accommodation available, along with a range of destination venues, including a restaurant, coffee bar, eventing venues seating up to 400 people, a cellar and underground bar, we are now a destination of choice. It in the heart of the Blue Crane nature reserve on which our self-catering cottages are located. A perfect mix of modern comfort with rustic charm.
Designed to be your home away from home, each cottage is comfortably appointed with a lounge and dining area, full DSTV and a cozy fireplace to cuddle up in front of on cold winter nights. During the summer months, cool off in the outdoor jacuzzi or take advantage of the longer days and enjoy an al fresco meal overlooking the hills on your own private deck.

Fully-equipped and serviced every day, we’ll take care of everything from making the beds to washing the dishes…we’ll even send your personal chef over so you can relax to your heart’s content. After all, we think you deserve a break every now and then, even if you are self-catering.

Quick and easy private access to the hotel also makes the cottages incredibly convenient for wedding or conference accommodation too.

Our Spa, which is made up of 8 treatment rooms, a dedicated Manicure and Pedicure room, a Tranquillity Lounge and a Champagne, Coffee and Chocolate Bar with a team of therapists that are highly skilled. Treatments are currently focused around massage with products that are sourced locally as well as being biodegradable.

The Midlands is situated in the centre of the Kwazulu Natal region. As a member of the famous Midlands Meander Association, we are perfectly positioned to allow guests to experience the natural diversity of the largely unknown province. Just 2 hours from the Indian Ocean, the peaks of the Drakensberg mountains, Big Five game reserves, the historical battlefields and King Shaka airport we are perfectly positioned.
