Our Hotel was established in 1986 as the first Luxury Boutique Hotel and Restaurant (European style) in Antigua. Ideally located at the quiet end of famous Fifth Avenue. It is a pleasant five minute walk from Antigua's main Plaza and Cathedral down cobble stone streets past wonderful ruins and delightful shops.
Just beyond the entrance to the hotel there is an inviting central garden and fountain surrounded by a veranda that is quintessential Antigua.
We have been selected as a Fodor´s Choice Establishment. Our restaurant has received the coveted Medal de Oro (of Gold) award, which is the best in the country.
Double Room 1.
This room is small and cozy enjoying a queen size bed, wrought iron headboard, chandelier, writing desk, corner gas fireplace and a private European style bath. Through French doors leading off the library/piano bar of "The Cave" you step onto a flagstone patio with a fountain containing climbing porcelana, bougainvillea and outdoor furniture with a hand painted wrought iron and tile table, inviting you to read, enjoy a coffee or drink outdoors or just relax.
The vibe of live music in "The Cave" playing several nights a week (7-10PM), may not suit everyone. This room may be a little noisy on these evenings. Please check with our staff before booking this room.
Double Room 2.
Is also located off the corridor of our restaurant. It has two twin size beds, wrought iron headboards, a chandelier, writing desk, corner gas fireplace and European style bath. The large patio doors open onto a flagstone patio amidst climbing porcelana, passionflowers and bougainvillea. Comfortable outdoor furniture, including a hand painted wrought iron and tile table, invites you to read, enjoy a private coffee or drink outdoors or just relax.
Double Room 3.
Located off the corridor of our restaurant, this room is one of the three double rooms we have, each with a private patio. This room enjoys a queen size bed with wrought iron headboard, chandelier, writing desk, small gas fireplace and European style bath. The patio doors open onto a flagstone patio amidst climbing porcelana, passionflowers and bougainvillea. Outdoor furniture includes a hand painted wrought iron and tile table inviting you to read, enjoy a private coffee or drink and relax outdoors.

- Peak Season and Holidays Apr. 9 - Apr. 16 and Dec. 22 - Jan. 1.
- All rates include a complimentary Buffet breakfast.
- Government taxes of 22% are not included. Prices shown are per room/suite and based on double occupancy.
- Room rates may vary with the season, length of stay, number of nights. Rates for specific rooms and dates will be cheerfully quoted upon request. Discounts on stays longer than five days.
10% deposit to block the requested dates.
Reservation Confirmation: To hold a room, we require a valid credit card. Upon checkout, payment can be made by credit card or cash. We reserve the right to request prepayment of the entire amount fourteen days in advance on certain holidays or busy weekends.
Room Availability Is Subject To Change: The availability of some rooms may be subject to change at any time without notice. Please Note: Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night we have Live Music in La Cueva from 8-10 pm which can interfere with quiet in certain rooms.
Cancellation Policy. If the room is cancelled less than two weeks (four weeks during Semana Santa and Christmas/New Year) prior to arrival date, the charges of the full price will be charged unless we are able to rebook the room, in which we will refund in full. Special circumstances will be considered.
We accept children of fifteen years and older. Pets are not allowed.

This hotel is simply stunning. We stayed in a double room off the main courtyard. Breakfast is included in the price and is very good. The staff are all helpful and friendly and the hotel has a wonderful calm atmosphere. Just take a look at their website to see some great photos. Definately a super place to stay for a treat."

One of the most tasteful and beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in....absolutely loved it. Gorgeous rooms...fantastic Feng Shuei....wonderfully romantic restaurant,, gorgeous rooftop terraces. i can't wait to go back! Had a great massage there too!
Inspiring Travellers
This is a boutique hotel in a typical colonial-style building. What sets it apart from most places is the amazing restaurant that is probably one of the most creative in town with their unique option for couples. Here you can make a reservation for a private, romantic dinner in a dome that they have on their terrace. They decorate the staircase and dome for you with roses, candles and other fun stuff, but not cheesy! And you get your own waiter that is there at your beck and call. Even though it’s a hotel and there are rooms around the dome, no one uses the staircase it’s closest to, so it’s as though the entire terrace is all for your own private party. Plus, the views are absolutely insane of two volcanoes – one of which spits out smoke all the time.."
