Stayed Dec 2016 : My husband and I spent Dec 26-30 at this resort. We rented a small SUV in Belize City & easily drove to Placencia & left our car at their dock. This island was beautiful. Staff was friendly. Dives were fun-speared lionfish & fed to sharks! The food was very good. The water trampoline & snorkeling was fun too. Caught bonefish off the pier. At night I swam with stingrays-magical! We borrowed fishing poles, diving gear, nets, buckets, wet suits, underwater flashlights...however, we did bring our own masks & snorkels. Massages were done in my room by a very friendly lady. The manager was friendly, her boyfriend is the dive master-he was cool too. Even though we were secluded on an island, yachts & mega yachts were constantly coming in/out for the food & amenities so we got to meet people from all over. Oh, & i enjoyed the air condition in my room and the hammock outside. Huge purple corals washed up on the beach. One of my favorite things to do was to watch the pelicans dive-bomb the fish. They did this all day, it was fun to watch. This was a great end to our Belize trip which originated deep in the jungle. I think 4 or 5 nights would be the perfect amount of time to spend here. If you want to feel like you are on your own private island, then stay here!
