Guatemala vacation rentals Master Suite in Boutique Hotel in Antigua
Our Hotel is a beautifully restored Spanish-style mansion built between 1541 and 1543 to serve as the residence of Doña Leonor, the daughter of the Spanish conqueror, Don Pedro de Alvarado, and the Tlaxcalan Indian Princess Tecuilhuatzin, Doña Luisa.
Following a meticulous renovation, the architectural and interior designs of the Hotel have been restored to their original grandeur. The Spanish-style Master suite at this luxury boutique hotel feature the colors, textures, fabrics and furnishings of Doña Leonor’s private mansion in 16th Century Antigua Guatemala.
As with the other suites and rooms the Master suite is named after a relative of Doña Leonor and key figure in the conquest of Guatemala, and each has its own story to tell through its unique décor, charm and character. Original artwork lines the walls and carefully chosen colonial furnishings and antiques, ornately carved hand painted ceilings and roaring fires capture the elegance of life in 16th century Antigua. Magnificent four-poster beds are buried under Egyptian cotton linens and plush down duvets. Windows that open and private balcony or terraces offer views of the bustling city centre or the hotel’s tranquil garden courtyard.

"“A great place to stay”" At the end of a two week trip to visit Mayan sites in Mexico and Guatemala, we traveled to the beautiful colonial city of Antigua and splurged on this old gem well located near the heart of the city. We stepped in through the doors and found ourselves in a beautiful courtyard full of flowers and a great fountain. The reception staff speaks English and is helpful, providing information about the history of the building. We stayed in room VI called Paula on the second floor. The room is large and well appointed but is very dark and poorly lit by electricity. There is a small window high on the wall to the outside and two large windows to the veranda overlooking the courtyard. We had dinner in the courtyard around the garden. When the evening became chilly, we moved into the restaurant where the staff lit a fire for us in the fireplace. My wife ordered soup and they brought me a complimentary cup. I ordered a drink before dinner and they brought me a plate of cheese. It's that kind of place. We would stay here again.

"“Great Stay & Excelent Food”" Several times we stayed here and every one of them the staff meet our expectations. The property is beautiful with a very convenient location. The manager took great care that all service was delivered efficiently. And we really enjoyed the dinner as well, delicious food and prompt service. We strongly recommend you to try it.
