Stayed October 2016 : Stopped by this resort on our golf cart ride to the north of island. Food and service were exceptional. We were allowed to hang out by the pool for the day. Highly recommend driving a golf cart up from San Pedro to spend the day with these folks! Thanks!

Stayed April 2016 My husband and I stayed at El Secreto for the first few nights of our honeymoon in Belize. After all of the wedding craziness, we were looking for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and that was exactly what we got! The resort is fairly remote - only accessible by boat from San Pedro - so I would recommend staying a couple of days like we did (not a full week) if you are prone to cabin fever. The resort offers daily excursions (snorkeling, etc) but they were pretty pricey and I think you could book for less in San Pedro. The rooms are stunning - all private houses. The restaurant is delicious! All in all it was a wonderful experience!
