Stayed September 2016 : Wow! We feel so incredibly fortunate that we chose this resort for our recent four day getaway. From the minute we were picked up at the airport (conveniently located minutes away) until the time of our departure, our every need was carefully anticipated and thoughtfully met. In all honesty, Sharon and Bruce made us feel just like family. As a very early riser, I often went to the beach to watch the sun rise each morning. Although the restaurant was not open that early, Sharon was also always up and would put on a pot of coffee and sit and share a cup or two and lots of good conversation with me. The resort location has to be at just about the most gorgeous spot possible on that stretch of beach. We stayed in one of the tree houses, and it was immaculately clean and furnished nicely, down to a hammock to string on the little veranda. The grounds were beautiful, it was pleasantly quiet despite the nearby airport, and the staff members were all friendly and helpful. The food was generously portioned, delicious, and all reasonably priced. If I were to ask for any one thing different, it would simply be for the provision of a few self-contained, smoker refuse disposal urns to be placed discreetly on both the pool/beach areas and outer grounds. I found myself carrying around a plastic cup or otherwise putting the smoker trash back into my pack to avoid littering on the lovely grounds and beach. However, without a doubt, if you're looking for a place to stay in Placencia, this is THE ONE. Don't pass it up. You won't regret it. Promise.
