My very best friend of 34 years decided she was going to get married in Belize, on Ambergris Caye, and most definitely at this Beach Resort! It wasn't at all a surprise, their location decision. They'd vacationed there yearly for several years, & made all of us want to be there with their descriptions of a perfect resort. Then Mark finally popped the question, on one knee, on the end of the picturesque dock there... And then we all came! I wish I could paint you a picture! Everything you could want- hammocks over the water, an amazing room (lower mansion, out of this world with space & luxury), the staff is fabulous, & the food was out of this world! I loved pulling the poolside chairs into the pool & just relaxing! More on the staff- that's not the correct word for them. They're clearly like family. You won't ask for your drink twice from the bartender, he knows it & he knows your name. When my friends married every person that works there congratulated them, actually everything sort of stopped because everyone wanted to see their special moment! My husband wants me to mention the dive boats are on your doorstep- his words! How did my friends Allison & Mark get so lucky to pick Portofino all those years ago?! They were blessed to meet the two of you, we were blessed to meet you too. The care & love you put into their wedding was unbelievable. This resort will always be an amazing stay, a wonderful experience!
