Stayed June 2016 : We got there in an aprox. 30 minutes flight. I have to point out that everyone from Gerardo who took our reservation to Yelitza and the staff who received us in the island, made sure we felt comfortable and had an amazing time. The Toucan room was just perfect, clean with two double beds and a beautiful porch to enjoy the beautiful view. Wifi coverage and TV only in the main lodge. We met Lucas the toucan who will love to drink water from your glass. The beach is just few minutes’ walk away, white sand and crystal water. We rented the paddle boards which was a great idea, but did not take the safari tour or outdoor activities. Don´t forget your insect repellent, it will get a little annoying in the afternoon. We stayed in the island for only 2 nights and would love to repeat the experience.

Stayed february 2017 Wow : No doubt why survivor episodes were filmed here. The nature is untouched, although there are dirt roads all over the island and relics of US II WW base. Water is pristine, beaches are abundant, but the nicest and cleanest is one right next to the resort. We had a cottage with a great view of the small islands in front of the resort and we watched changes of the reefs with high and low tide. At one point during our stay we were the only guest on the entire island. How often you can experience something like this? A toucan landed on our table while we had a lunch and after we offered a piece of tomato, he touched it with his beak, left it and went straight for the piece of fish on the top of my girlfriend's salad plate. After this I gave him another piece from my hand, and he so gently picked it up that we were stunned. This was the best gift for my girlfriends birthday. Food was unbelievable, chef was Michelin 5 star for sure, made to order whatever fresh he had and the service was like we were at home. Altogether unforgettable experience. And the plane ride and the airport!!!LOL. When leaving as there is no airport tower and no personal and no check in of course, the pilot just ask us where are we going, and when we said Panama City, he welcomed us in his 12 sitter single engine Panama Air plane. Nobody at the moment permanently lives on this island, maybe we should try!!! Ohh, by the way no cellular service. No TV, no..... Prescription for relaxation and rejuvenation.
