Stayed September 2016 : I stayed at this Resort with my husband for our honeymoon and this place could not have been better. It is a short boat ride from Bocas town and has everything you need. The resort is fairly spread out and the beach and restaurant are a moderate walk. If you don't want to or aren't able to walk they can give you a ride in their tuktuk or golf cart. Golf carts are also available to rent for a pretty penny. Much of the resort is still being built but we were not bothered by any noise or construction. Our villa was amazing! It has a private pool and all the amenities you would need - including fully equipped kitchen if you are planning on cooking, satellite tv and wonderful outdoor space. The beach was perfect. Quite and relaxing. The life guard and his friend (maybe Roberto?) serve great drinks (Cocoloco) and you can eat the coconut when you are done. The beach is super clean and the staff take great care to make sure no trash is left behind. There are beach chairs/lounge chairs and nice shaded areas to sit. The local residents on the island are super friendly. They come from all over mostly US and Canada and they love to chat you up and hear about your stay. Everyone had positive things to say about the island and the resort. Punta lava is the only restaurant on the resort. The food is good and the service is typical for the Caribbean. There is another restaurant down on the public beach called "Not yo mamas" (nacho mamas) however we did not eat there so we can't attest to the food however we heard from the locals it was good. We had a couples massage at the spa which was also nice and very private. It is a peaceful setting nestled near a stream but it would be better if the spa had a screened in area so we didn't get bug bites. It wasn't the best massage I've ever had but it was nice. The staff was wonderful. Everyone we met on the island was wonderful. All of our shuttle drives, boat drivers, front desk staff, lifeguard and notably Jorge (one of the restaurant staff) were great. We will miss this place and look forward to returning for an anniversary!
