The island Pasman belongs to the Zadar Archipelago and is divided from the mainland through the Pasman channel. The sea currents change direction every six hours and it is therefore the cleanest water in all of Croatia. The mainland side is characterized by olive groves, gardens and vineyards. The steep, rough coast to the southwest is not inhabited, has many bays and only evergreen thicket grows here. The island is approx. 21 km long and 4.1 km wide and stretches from northwest to southeast parallel to the Dalmatian coast from which it is divided only by the 4 km wide Pasman channel. The highest point is Veliki Bokolk which is 272 metres high. A ferry connects the island from Tkon to Biograd na Moru and the next island to the north is reachable via a bridge.
