The Villa is located on the most south-westerly tip of the ruggedly beautiful Bukit Peninsula – a limestone plateau edged by craggy cliffs that rise dramatically from the azure ocean, and where you’ll find some of the most idyllic beaches and surf breaks in Bali. Most are no more than a few minutes’ drive away, but there is also a private pathway from the villa to the secluded Suluban Beach which, with its clear water and pristine white sands, is a favourite among surfers and beach junkies.

While there are very few shops or international restaurants close to the villa (hiring a car and driver is strongly recommended if you wish to explore), there is a slew of surfer hangouts, beach bars and small Indonesian warungs (restaurants), within a couple of kilometres, where cold beer and good local food can be had.

This stunningly situated, fully staffed holiday retreat was inspired by an enduring love story that started on the very spot where the villa now stands; such is the dramatic allure of the Uluwatu cliffs on the south-western tip of Bali.

The views from almost every room in the villa will leave you speechless. Built over three levels and perched on the edge of a verdant valley, with the Indian Ocean stretching out to one side and the forested hills of the dramatically scenic Bukit Peninsula to the other, Villa cannot fail to impress.

A comfortably furnished rooftop terrace with a panorama that takes in Bali’s distant volcanic peaks, and a bright airy media room equipped with large TV and Sony sound system, preside over the villa’s top floor. Below, folding glass doors and windows surround the living and dining room, creating a seemingly infinite space. Soft grass, soothing ponds – even a shallow pool with teak garden furniture placed at its centre to keep toes cool while sunbathing or star-gazing – bring the outdoors in. Also on this open-plan floor is a modern kitchen with top-range appliances and a breakfast bar with a view. But it’s at ground level that guests are likely to spend the lion’s share of their time. An elbow-shaped, indoor—outdoor swimming pool with shallow kids area, whirlpool jets, sundeck and loungers extends into the garden from a poolside lounge equipped with a bar and a huge cushioned daybed to provide shady relaxation.

Villa’s four luxurious bedrooms are situated on varying levels, affording extra privacy and the best views from their private terraces. Three offer king-size beds and one is twin-bedded, convertible to a king. Each of the ensuite bathrooms boasts a double jacuzzi tub.
