This fairytale castle stands at the edge of the dreamlike village Boekhoute, 30 km away from Gent and 40 km away from Brügge. The castle with its unique waterfront location and the adjoining garden are actually tourist attractions. It stands on a large country estate (20,000 square metres) with landscaped English-style garden, ponds with fountains, rowing boat, a large terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. Here you can enjoy peace, space and privacy and yet stay within walking distance from the grocery stores, restaurants and street cafes. The castle is a non-smoking property. So everyone feels comfortable here. A wine cellar has been converted into a cosy bar, where smoking is allowed. Table football is available here for a pleasant pastime. A stereo system, wireless internet connection, LCD TV, DVD player with several DVD movies, a Nintendo-Wii and a large toy box with puzzles and board games are available. There are a number of play areas for children and adults around the castle: slide, swings, trampoline, football goals, volleyball net and a playhouse for children as well as a jeu de boules alley (including balls) and golf course for grownups. The associated coach house has a boardroom and a sauna with shower and a cold water basin. You can also have that extra house with sauna, an additional salon, the master bedroom or a marquee, for an additional charge. With its romantic atmosphere, the castle is an ideal place for weddings and other social gatherings. The owner can advise you regarding the catering, beer tap and the music.
