Overlooking the beautiful lake of St. Pée-sur-Nivelle, in the heart of the Pays Basque region, this holiday property is just 20km inland from Biarritz on the road to Cambo-les-Bains and near to St. Jean-de-Luz. Situated on a hill, there are views of the Pyrenees mountains on the Spanish border from the villa's private swimming pool. The villa's interior offers a large living room opening onto a terrace ideal for outside dining. The nearby lake of St. Pée has an appealing beach and many attractions, restaurants and cafés. Local villages within a short drive include Cambo or Sare at the base of the Rhune Mountain, both starting points for mountain walks and climbs, and Espelette, known for its peppers. The old harbour town of St. Jean-de-Luz is 20 minutes' drive, as is Biarritz with its beautiful shops, museums, aquarium and golf courses. For a day out, the well-known town of San Sebastian is well worth a visit. Please note: the discreet owner occasionally occupies a small flat beneath the house.
