It has been restored to a good standard, remarkably decorated with antique furnishings, tastefully chosen with care to compliment the many features, whilst including modern fabrics and fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms. The French windows lead onto a gravelled terrace on which guests can enjoy a glass of local wine in total privacy. There is a shared swimming pool near the owner's château, 125m away. One of the highlights of this property is that the owner is a horse lover and permits guests to bring their own horses lodged in good standard stables. Rivière has an amazing position close to famous Chinon and its vineyards. It is also a delightful spot for visiting some of the finest châteaux in France: Saumur, Villandry and Azay Le Rideau are all within a short distance. Cycling along the Rivers Loire and Vienne is for the sporty visitors, as well as horse riding, boating and golfing.
