Panama vacation rentals B & B in Ancon Hill Panama City   (3)

Stayed February 2016 : We loved this B&B in Panama city! It is in a quiet location on the green cerro de Ancón. At breakfast we saw colibríes, parrots, beautiful butterflies and sometimes we could here monkeys in the trees!!! The owner is very friendly and helpful, he prepared wonderful breakfast with a lot of fresh fruit! Taxis to the City centre are not expensive and the next busstation is very close (5-10minutes walk). The rooms are a little small but provide extra space for luggage and have a ventilator and air-conditioning! I highly recommend the place, we had a wonderful time in a very comfortable hotel!

Stayed Mars 2017 : This B & B is essentially a large home in a quiet residential area. Owner Jacques maintains a lovely place, staffed by a young married couple who are friendly and helpful. A couple of considerations: the staff has very limited English, and the establishment doesn't accept credit cards - only cash. But at $80 a night it's a great value for nice, quiet place.

Stayed April 2017 : My wife and stayed at this B&B to be near the Electoral Tribunal for an early morning appointment. Jacques was extremely helpful with getting around and making sure everything was in good order. Since we had an early appointment he had coffee ready for us at 6:20 am, and then a late breakfast when we returned from our appointment. As the Electoral Tribunal is only about 10 minutes walk across the overpass the location was ideal. Our room was quite comfortable as was the living room. The air conditioner in our room was very quiet and worked great. Our favorite place was the back deck, where we could see beautiful birds and flowers. The breakfast was outstanding, with wonderful tropical fruit, delicious coconut pancakes, and eggs cooked to order. As other reviewers have noted, our taxi driver had a lot of difficulty finding the B&B. As Jacques had given us his cell phone number we called him and he talked us to the house. Our main regret was that we did not have longer to enjoy our stay, especially the back deck.
