South Africa luxury Bed and Breakfast in a Georgian and Victorian Style Boutique Hotel in Cape Town
Situated in the heart of the ”Capetonian’s” Cape Town and away from tourist congestion, this beautiful Boutique Hotel is a stately double-storey Georgian and Victorian building that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. It was originally a single story Georgian farmhouse which was ‘Victorianised’ in the later part of the century. A second floor was added by the original owner in 1912 using a renowned architect and builder of the era.
The granite garden wall still contains the original iron work from the old quarry at the top of Kloof Street, and was a wedding gift to the original owner. Suite 3 used to be the old wagonshed and stable. The building was awarded national monument status in late 1984.
A sense of history where old meets new and blends in a personal and homely manner with Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head as the backdrop. Easy access to and from the hotel and the additional feature of free daily scheduled Waterfront transfers.
After experiencing everything from Table Mountain to Camps Bay, and nights out at your newfound favourite spot, you can go back to your private room, kick off your shoes and get really comfortable. Each of the fifteen bedrooms has been individually decorated, marrying a touch of yesteryear with contemporary chic and bohemian influence.
Choose between 7 Standard Rooms, 7 Luxury Rooms or the Superior Luxury Suite. No two rooms are alike so you'll want to return time and again, in a quest to experience them all!
Our 7 Luxury Rooms each have en-suite bathroom, and an outdoor courtyard or balcony.
Each of the 7 Standard Rooms has its own character and is uniquely decorated, with en-suite bathroom. Your complete comfort is the only concern.
The Superior Luxury Room is bold and spacious, and has its own private outdoor area with plunge pool. This Room is all about absolute indulgence, privacy and comfort. Swim at midnight in the plunge pool, uncork a bottle of fine South African wine at the fireside in your lounge, or simply throw open your windows to enjoy the fantastic Cape Town climate.

Great first impressions with masses of kerb appeal. Checking in was a simple procedure in the comfort of the longue before being shown to your room. Our room was wonderfully appointed with a delightful private courtyard which was a wonderful afternoon suntrap. The hotel was a quiet and peaceful retreat from the bustle Cape Town; but only a short taxi ride away. Our room was always clean and serviced daily, the beakfast room was light and airy with a great array of foods. Cooked breakfast was freshly prepared, served by cheery staff. The small pool was a refreshing experience. The hotel shuttle service was always appreciated. A wonderful hotel with caring staff.
