Tobago Bed and Breakfast with sea views pool and garden in Parlatuvier.
Discovering Tobago is like finding your own personal tropical Paradise. The island has retained its local charm, unspoiled surroundings and spectacular views of the sea and tropical landscapes. It offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore and relax in its natural beauty.
High on a cliff overlooking the sea, this villa commands one of Tobago’s finest views of the Caribbean in one direction and the Rain Forrest Reserve in the other. Just a short walk from the picturesque fishing village of Parlatuvier, this area is considered one of the loveliest on the island. From the veranda, guests can enjoy the mesmerizing crashing of waves against the rocks, daily migrations of frigate birds as they cruise along the coast, or listen to the cries of the cocricos, chatter of the parrots, and songs of other island birds.
The Property
The property consists of two houses and a swimming pool, bounded by a river on one side and the sea on the other. Surrounding the houses are gardens, mature coconut palms, mango and other fruit trees, and lots of banana plants. Paths lead along the hillside past the fruit trees, down to Creighton River and our own waterfall and swimming hole. Always in the shade, this is a favourite spot for children to play and adults to relax.
The Guesthouse offers guests top quality accommodations along with the highest standard of comfort and attention.
The ground floor is devoted to living space that includes a large dining area, the breakfast bar and kitchen and a sitting area. The heart of the house is the spacious veranda with its panoramic view of the sea, valley and forest. This is where guests spend much of their time socializing, relaxing, or being mesmerized by the blowhole that spurts water high into the air. We also have a library with over 300 books to share with our guests.
The three guest rooms are upstairs. All have ample closet space, an ensuite bathroom and are air conditioned to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
- A corner room with views of the sea in two directions. It has a queen sized bed and opens directly onto the large terrace with stairs leading down to the garden.
- A room with its own private balcony, also has a queen-sized bed and overlooks the sea, forest and valley.
- A room with two twin beds, which, with the addition of another mattress, can be converted to king sized. It has a view of the hillside garden and opens to a short walkway leading to the terrace and stairs. Being the largest room, there is space for an extra bed to accommodate a third person.
Operating as a bed and breakfast from November through April, guests can wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee or tea and enjoy a homemade meal to start their day. Other meals are available at restaurants nearby, or can be provided on site by prior arrangement.

Vielen Dank! We spent Easter (2016) weekend in the main house. What a great location to stay. Bea and Win are terrific hosts. Breakfast is amazing. The building is very nice, very solidly built and therefore essentially sound proof. The room and bathroom are adequately sized and ours had a veranda. They know the area very well of course and were full of suggestions as to where to eat and what to do. The location on the island is ideal from our point of view. Being on the western side of the island there is less wind making it a peaceful site. It is also near the northern end of the island where the vegetation is greener, prettier all around. The view from the main veranda is beautiful. The garden is very lush. The infinity pool, although small, is a great way to cool off in the afternoon while enjoying the view at the same time. There are several very nice beaches nearby. We went to the two closer ones and enjoyed them very much. Englishman’s Bay beach has a small restaurant for lunch and drinks throughout the day. Not far away is the road through the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, established in 1776. Amazing. The Gilpin Trace comes off that road and is a must see for people with an interest in birds. Unless you are an expert birder, a guide is essential to make the most of the walk. Renting a vehicle is necessary and Bea or Win can arrange a rental. They recommend Taylor Rental. The service was excellent and the owner was very responsive to a minor issue I had (not really an issue at all). I would recommend that visitors to this part of the Island have adequate cash (TT) for their length of stay. ATMs in the area do not, at least at the time we were there, accept foreign cards even though the “Plus” logo is displayed. Bea and Win have become small time bankers to bail out their guests. I am sure that you will enjoy your stay with Bea and Win as well as enjoy this part of Tobago should you decide to stay there. Hugh, Toronto Canada
