A hidden gem in the West Indies, nestled above the Caribbean Sea, on the Spice and Cocoa rich island of Grenada in the West Indies, Our property offers a stunning but serene plantation vacation experience.
With a history going back as least as far as 1763, this totally authentic working plantation was originally growing sugar cane, but later became a spice, cocoa and coffee plantation.
Today, as a small luxury boutique hotel, the traditional accommodation, sleeping up to 12, is surrounded by 28 acres of verdant and colourful flora, with over 40 types of aromatic spices, fruit and vegetables.
With its stunning, sheltered and elevated location on the West Coast of Grenada, this historic plantation estate enjoys cool sea breezes, amazing sunsets, luscious grounds and the panoramic views of the shimmering Caribbean Sea.
The Domain itself is a self-contained and historic example of a traditional estate owner’s house which has been restored in keeping with its history. It compromises an entrance hall, drawing room, snooker room, study, kitchen/dining for 10, master en-suite with dressing room, together with 3 guest bedrooms with two bathrooms. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.
It’s most stunning feature is the extensive wrap around covered living/dining verandah offering 180 degree sea views with the tropical gardens in the foreground.
The Plantation House sleeps 8 but there are also 2 Rooms giving facilities for 12. These can also be booked to give exclusive use of the whole estate, or be booked on their own. Located in the original spice storage house with cocoa drying racks still in operation underneath; the two additional rooms are unique in style, with four poster beds, electric fans and spacious bathrooms.
