A very unique and enjoyable stay in the Cellar apartment, a converted Arabic cistern. Very spacious and well equipped. The location was excellent in that it is only a ten minute walk from the Damascus Gate of the Old City and the same distance from central Jaffa Street. Magas house is a well restored building that used to house the Polish embassy many decades ago. It boasts a large terrace/garden for the guests to enjoy and is located within the area known as the Russian Compound. We were well welcomed by the hosts in our hour of need as finding a place in Jerusalem with a similar location is very difficult. A highly recommended stay.

“beautiful house and a wonderful location” Reviewed 5 September 2012 We (family of four) stayed for five days at the "Cellar" apartment, which is an underground three-floor apartment (formerly an old Arab cistern). It is nicely furnished and does not need air condition (even in August). The apartment is well taken care of and our questions were dealt with promptly. The host "Nomi" was very pleasant and was there to assist us in a very personal and pleasant manner. Outside is a nice garden. It is centrally located - a five-minute walk to Damascus Gate and to Yafo Street. We would definitely stay there again.
