Perched on top on a hill, in the heart of Chianti countryside, Villa Cauvilla boasts what must be
one of the most enviable views of Tuscany: rolling Chianti hills decked with vines and olives,
crowned by the incredible profile of San Gimignano's towers (located only few minute drive
away).
While enjoying a peaceful rural location, Villa Cauvilla is not isolated.
Villa Cauvilla provides an excellent base to explore the treasures of Tuscany, with Florence and
Siena easily located within 30min by car or public transports from the nearby town of
Poggibonsi, with an array of shops and authentic atmosphere, where to immerse in local life
and sample traditional food.
However relaxing by the panoramic swimming pool admiring the views and relishing the
silence is an equally attractive option at Villa Cauvilla.
The total surface of the villa is over 400sqm split on two levels and connected by a handsome external
stairway leading to the daytime areas on first floor and corner with stunning views of the countryside.
The arched dining area is spacious with panoramic windows. The beautiful stone fireplace is ideal to
enhance the ambiance in cooler months. A separate reading room with library equipped with
comfortable sofas is the perfect place to indulge in one of the fine wines that the owner left in the well
stocked fridge bar. On this floor the outstanding tiled kitchen with built in barbecue is ideal even for the
keenest cook. Here you find two double bedrooms with their bathroom (one with corner jacuzzi tub
and one with shower).
The ground floor is accessed through the bright living room with comfortable sofas and equipped with
wide screen television and cd player. Through the corridor is found a bar area with a fully equipped
kitchen with direct access to the rear of the villa, where there is a tiled terrace with gazebo where to
enjoy outdoor meals.
On ground floor there are other two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and lavishly appointed
showers. In addition there is a twin bedroom and a separate large bathroom with a shower and roll top
bath tub.

Getting about
Villa Cauvilla is ideally located to reach Tuscany's most beautiful and interesting sites, medieval
burgs and cities. Travel is easy: you can reach the Siena-Firenze motorway link in less than ten
minutes and proceed to Florence (about 35 km), Siena (25 km), Volterra (30 km), Pisa (50 km),
the Chianti Classico (15 km) with its vineyards, its many farms and special towns like Greve in
Chianti, Panzano, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole and Castellina in Chianti; within a radius of about
20 km you can reach small historically and culturally interesting towns like Certaldo, Barberino
Val d'Elsa, Colle Val d'Elsa and Monteriggioni (rare example in Italy of a still intact fortified
town, or "walled city").
The area around the villa is heaven for keen walkers too, with so many marked pathways to
explore even on horseback. A great 18 hole golf court is found just 20min drive as well as tennis
courts in Poggibonsi and a fantastic spa center with indoor pool to pamper yourselves in
cooler months.
During spring and summer the area offers a variety of entertaining ranging from open air
concerts and street festivals.
