A historic and blooming dammuso located in Pantelleria, one of the most surreal and exciting islands in the Mediterranean. The Dammuso (traditional local house) takes its name from an old tradition of the owner family, in memory of the countless suns that this structure has seen set. Located in a strategic position on the island, it makes it possible to reach the main destinations with a short trip through the most scenic and picturesque routes. Just a few steps from the most attractive bays and the village of Scauri, it has all the necessary services, pubs and restaurants. Despite its proximity to the island’s most active poles, the structure offers exclusive tranquillity, thanks to the necessary distance from the residential centres. Accessed through a large gate, it is possible to park vehicles inside, on the adjacent terracing. Walking along a lighted pathway rich in fragrant olive trees, we reach the main building, where we are greeted by a large panoramic terrace with a big dining table, several outdoor sofas and masonry seats for relaxing, admiring the unforgettable, warm and magical African sunsets, which occasionally reveal the silhouettes of Tunis. Entering, there is a living area with a sofa, TV and a small desk, all enhanced by a bright panoramic window where sea and sky seem to connect. On the same floor, there is a well-equipped masonry kitchen, a bathroom with glass shower decorated with precious blue tiles, and a double bedroom with wardrobe and dressing table. White spiral stairs to the lower floor, with large double bedroom, with wardrobe and writing desk. Charming tempered-glass door-window with direct access to the outside space (canopy and sofas). Various terraces for sun bathes. Two majestic staircases on either side of the central body, embellished with colourful and lush plants, provide access to the various entrances of the house. The interiors are well-kept and traditional; local elements such as fishing creels, jute paintings and decorated ceramics enrich the furnishings. The use of dark wood offers an enveloping and reassuring sensation, shades of blue and beige blend in a harmonious and relaxing ambiance.
