Charming Castello dating back to the 12th century and was renovated in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, including the impressive tower built following the architectural style of Palazzo Vecchio’s Tower in Florence.
The Castle is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, a luxurious location in Chianti that offers an exclusive view on the historical, cultural and food&wine local traditions.
The property offers a comfortable and well equipped setting, especially a beautiful swimming pool where guests can spend relaxing hours under the Tuscan sun with family and friends and a large garden which will make your stay unique during spring and summer season.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 8.30 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A good restaurant offering typical dishes of Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 3,- / per washing). WI-FI internet connection available in some apartment, in the reception and restaurant area.
Distances from the Castle: Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence, Montespertoli and Empoli is only a few meters away from the castle. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
Extra services: on request is possible to rent a baby bed (€ 50,- / per week) and an extra bed (€ 100,- / per week) both payable locally.

Après une petite mésaventure avec notre premier appartement (déjà loué), la réception a été très agréable a fait tout son possible pour trouver une solution. Nous avons donc intégré un autre appartement (La Torre) qui s'est révélé très agréable, grand et confortable). Le site et le château sont magnifiques et la piscine agréable. L'accueil et la communication sont très bons. Attention aux moustiques l'été...

The castle was incredible! Such a different experience. Don't expect a hotel, it is not a hotel. What you can expect is magnificent views, old school charm and a location that is central to good attractions. We will definitely be back to enjoy the pool, castle gardens and restaurant. On the first morning the Tuscan sunrise streamed into our room and chided us to awake and take in the magnificient view - it was breathtaking! The rolling hills around the Castle Montegufoni over the course of the week changed glorious autumn colours. Our room, was perfectly comfortable - so much so we almost forgot to leave. The Castle location enabled very easy jaunts around the Chianti countryside (use a GPS!!) The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Would recommend highly!!
