Nestled on the hills of Lucca, La Villa is an oasis of calm and relaxation. The region, known as "The Maolina", is famous for its homonymous wine and characterized by the typical landscape of sloping vineyards and olive groves. From the house, and in particular from the veranda which extends over a whole side of the property and which is arranged to eat "al fresco", one admires a magnificent view to the plains of Lucca and on the horizon the hills. The position of the Villa is favored by the proximity of Lucca, thus combining a charming country setting with the convenience of being just 10 minutes drive from the city center. This property has been successfully rented for many years. Recently it has been acquired by new American owners, who have completely renovated it adding the main modern comforts, including the new marble bathrooms and air conditioning in the rooms. The garden surrounds the house with very well kept lawns and flowering shrubs facing vineyards and olive groves. The renovations extended to the pool area which has been transformed into a pleasant setting to enjoy beautiful views of the Lucca plain. A typical French petanque court is also available to the client.

La Villa is really an outstanding villa for so many reasons which surely you know, I hope you've had an opportunity to visit there. What made things go so smoothly and pleasantly was your professionalism which added to our overall experience. Additionally the owners were delightful and their delicious dinner worked so well.Upon arrival they prepared a delicious spread that we all needed and enjoyed. Your elegant gift package with all the wonderful products of the region was a delightful surprise. We've traveled a lot but we all hope that we can again visit beautiful la Villa in the future. The only disappointment is that we were staying only one week. The second disappointment is the distance from our home. Whatever you read about La Villa or heard you'll be absolutely delighted once you go through the gate. It isn't a grand old fashion villa but it is a large home that was just totally renovated in 2014 maintaining it's beautiful authenticity in colors, beamed ceilings, and decor while providing the most updated bathrooms (just so charming) and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that could accommodate about 15 people. Next, the bedrooms are gracious with elegant furnishings,where did they get those beautiful armoires ... and the views. Now the infinity pool with changing lighting and covering to spend entire afternoons is extraordinary. You have total privacy (electronic gate) on a large property that is perfectly situated on a hill overlooking the Tuscan valley with the backdrop of the mountains ... private but not isolated. All this and less than 15 minutes from Lucca one of the most beautiful small Tuscan cities that's less touristy,very elegant and great shopping.La Villa is one of the few places we could easily live for a long, long time. We envy your visit!
