This secluded old stone former country estate dating back to 1870 has been carefully restored by the new English speaking owner with taste, using local materials. There are hand made cotto tiles on the floor, old wooden beams on the ceilings and white walls giving a relaxing atmosphere.
Furnished in contemporary style the Villa expands on two floors. On the ground floor are: the living area, with modern sofas and satellite tv; a large brick archway separates the living area from the dining area furnished with a large wooden table, antiques and a large French door opens onto the garden. Close to the dining area, a modern kitchen fully equipped with 4 hubs, oven, microwave , fridge with freezer and dishwasher.
Another French door in the kitchen opens onto the outside area with table, chairs and sofas covered by a modern red sailing. On the ground floor there is also one toilet and a double bedroom (king size bed, twin on request ) with ensuite shower bathroom.
A marble stair case of seventeen steps leads to the first floor where we find 2 double bedrooms (king size beds, only one can be twin on request), each with ensuite shower room; a double bedroom (king size bed) with ensuite shower room with bathtub. On the first floor, reachable by its own private external staircase, a double bedroom (king size bed) with ensuite shower room.
All the bedrooms are large and comfortable.
Central heating, air conditioning and wifi internet connection are included in the price. Electric barbecue at the guests’ disposal, please note that is strictly forbidden to light fires outside the house because it is really dangerous in this area.
Surrounded by mature oaks trees in a panoramic position there is the amazing huge swimming pool (15mts x 7mts – 1,40/1,60 mts deep). This exclusive pool, approx. 50m from the house, enjoys expansive views over the hills towards Montalcino and Monte Amiata on the horizon .
Traditional aspects have been married well to a contemporary style and the property offers great privacy. This is an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday, while nature lovers will find the area rich in deer, porcupine and boars.
The nearest village is just 4 kms away, where guests can find a grocery, butcher shop, bakery, restaurant, bar, bank, chemist, post office etc.
The beautiful town of Siena is just 24 kms away while Firenze and the Tuscan coast are easily reachable in one hour drive. The villa is reachable by about 3 km of unpaved and bumpy road not suitable for sport cars with low suspension .
