Holiday home Butterfly is situated on a unique nature spot just 1.5 km from the city center of the beautiful town of Ypres, known from the First World War and the beautiful location on the hilly Westhoek. Your holiday home is a bit hidden on a wooded and enclosed property full of wild flowers and a natural pond. From the living room and the terrace you have a beautiful view over the garden and the pond. The house was lovingly restored by the owners and very tastefully decorated. In the living room there is a beautiful bed that is decorative but can also serve as an extra sleeping place. In the garden you can enjoy the tranquility and the birds that come to drink by the pond until late. There are also two sheep that occasionally come to say hello.
If you can still get away from this wonderful place, you can go for wonderful cycling trips or go hiking in the Palingbeek, a nature park 1 km away. Also walk along the ponds that were created by craters from the First World War, such as the Caterpillar and the Bluff. Sporty bike rides over the famous Kemmeberg or the Rode and Zwarte Berg. In Westouter you can admire the landscape from a cable car. If you still have time, we recommend that you visit the cities of Bruges and Lille (F). Bruges because of the beautifully preserved medieval downtown and Lille because of the beautiful half-timbered houses and impressive buildings in the old town. In both cases you can also enjoy shopping. When the weather is nice, you can reach De Panne beach in half an hour. Holiday home Butterfly is therefore the perfect place for a versatile holiday.
