This finely renovated 18th century Provençal mas stands out as a splendid combination of spacious modern living with period architectural features, and is suffused with the traditional charm of the Camargue and Provence region. The house features ample living space which has been tastefully decorated with artwork, and sits in a splendid mature garden of 1.2 acres with views over old cedar trees. It also has a large swimming pool and a pool house with a barbecue area. This elegant property immediately conveys a homely feeling and is conveniently located, sitting just 10 minutes away from Nimes city centre.
The house offers ample living space of c. 370m2 comprising of 9 nicely decorated rooms and set on two levels with direct views over the garden. On the ground floor, there are a large double living room with high ceilings and a separate dining room, each decorated with beautiful artwork, and fitted with a fireplace and tall windows to enjoy the view. There is very large contemporary eat-in kitchen which offers direct access to a substantial terrace facing the garden, which is furnished with a high table and stools and appointed with all amenities and kitchen appliances. The first floor is accessed through a beautiful stone staircase landing onto a library/study room and leading onto four large, cosy double bedrooms each with their en-suite bathroom or shower room.
The large terrace offers a relaxing point of view over the extensive mature garden and runs across the entire front end of the house; it is furnished with a garden table and chairs for outdoor partaking in the spring and summer seasons. The very well maintained garden provides welcoming shade and hosts a gated swimming pool area with a summer kitchen, built-in barbecue and amenities such as bar, fridge and dining table. The garden has also a small playground area with a swing and sand pit for young children.
We highly recommend this villa for families or guests looking for a relaxing holiday in Nîmes which is conveniently located between Provence and Camargue, and could provide an authentic and stylish base to explore the various outstanding roman sites in the area (e.g. Pont du Gard, Arles, etc.) and more.

We were met by the owners a the property. Very welcoming. The house was very nice, had everything and more to make our stay comfortable. The owners even left us a little food / wine parcel! The house / kitchen had everything we needed for a good stay. Not your normal holiday rental at all. The gardens has plenty to do for the children and kept them entertained whilst the adults relaxed. The only slight issue (but not large) is that the pool is not heated and was a little cold. On the whole, it was an amazing house. Very sad to leave!
