Midi-Pyrenees is a region of Southwestern France, made up of 8 departments ;
- Ariege: Foix, Saint Girons, Mirepoix
- Aveyron: Rodez, Millau, Villefranche de Rouergue, Saint Affrique
- Haute-Garonne: Toulouse, Saint Gaudens, Luchon
- Gers: Auch, Marciac, Nogaro, Lectoure
- Lot: Cahors, Rocamadour, Figeac, Montcuq, Gourdon
- Hautes-Pyrenees: Tarbes, Bagneres-de-Bigorre, Argeles Gazost
- Tarn: Albi, Castres, Cordes sur Ciel, Gaillac
- Tarn-et-Garonne: Montauban, Saint Antonin Noble Val, Moissac
It is the second largest region of France. Its largest city is Toulouse which is also its prefecture (administrative centre).

The Midi-Pyrenees is a countryside region with some spectacular scenery, such as the gorges in the Tarn and and in the Aveyron, as well as the valleys in the Lot and in Dordogne. In the South you have the Pyrenees mountains, whose summits draw the border with Spain.
