South Africa Bed and Breakfast in a Cottage with Private Patio and Vineyard Views in Stanford near Hermanus.
The estate is both a working farm dating back to 1839 and a private, family-run guest house. We pride ourselves on offering visitors a unique experience in a welcoming environment. We also place great value in our staff, as a result you’ll find that everyone is actively responsible for making your stay memorable. We want you to feel like you’re in a private home – but with no obligation to your hosts. And as our guest, we’ll make sure you’re taken care of, down to the last detail.
You will discover a tranquil retreat that offers something for everyone from honeymoon couples to solo travellers and large family groups. With this in mind we have two restaurants on the estate: One caters for families and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; while our more formal option is open for dinner, and caters to adults only.
Breakfast is included in the room rate. We also have experienced babysitters, who need to be booked in advance at an additional cost.
The 2 cottages: Set away from the main hotel, our two cottages are also family-friendly but more suited to those families with older children. Each cottage sleeps two, and comes with a King-size bed and an en-suite shower, as well as a private patio.

What a treat , from the minute you arrive you are treated like family, nothing is to much for the staff . And all the little extras like pillows on your deck chairs , complimentary high tea , the waitress remembering what wine you ordered at dinner . Unbelievable dinners and breakfast. Beautiful 2 days an amazing way to recharge your batteries.

After starting our trip in the center of the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, we arrived to the tranquility of the estate and could not have asked for more. The owner, Anton, drove us to our shark dive bright and early at 530am and was such an interesting person to talk to. We did not have our own car so when we asked if there was a way to get to the brewery Birkendale they happily took us. The staff at the estate was equally as friendly and helpful. Patience always had a smile on her face and helped us any way she could. The two dinners we had there were also excellent. I wish we had not had such early days both days so that we could have had breakfast but I am sure it would also have been delicious. If you are looking for somewhere to stay while you visit Hermanus or surrounding vineyards I highly recommend this place!

Stayed at this charming Country estate for a week end away at the beginning of December; Loved the spacious rooms, the very friendly and professional service. The nearby Stanford village its really worth a visit and there are many interesting things to do in the area apart of hiking the beautiful trails on the surrounding mountains and hills. Definitely recommended!
