In Franciacorta 10 minutes away from the Lake of Iseo and 15 minutes from Brescia, the apartement is located in a completely renovated 17th century farm, surrounded with woods and the Franciacorta vineyards.
The Bed and Breakfast or apartment La Badia is located in the old village of La Badia (the Abbey) in Provezze, inside the farmyard, adjoining the main farm building, but self-contained. It consists in a 60 square meter flat for the exclusive use of guests and opening on to the farmyard. The furniture is period or rustic: it can accommodate four people in a double bedroom opening on to a terrace, and a living room with a double divan bed. In addition there are a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Guests will also find a portico, with a barbecue, a large table and chairs, if they wish to have thier meals outside. There are also a private entrance to the flat, a garden and a covered parking space for the car.
During the summer, breakfast may be served, on request, under the large portico.
The surroundings
In the silence of the Franciacorta countryside between the Lake and the Pre-Alp hills you can be assured of a quiet, relaxing stay.
La Badia which is situated at the core of Franciacorta, is an excellent point of departure to visit the area: the Franciacorta cellars, the Sebino peat bogs, the San Pietro in Lamosa monastery, the Lake of Iseo, Clusane, an old fishermen's village famous for its oven-baked tench, Monteisola Island, the Pyramids of Zone anf the Olivetan Abbey of Rodengo Saiano. in the village of Ome there is the old, but still working, Averoldi hammer and the Franciacorta spa, that has been using the hot water of the “Fonte del Maglio” (Hammer Spring) since 1886.
For shopping lovers, the Franciacorta Outlet Village and the Porte Franche shopping centre are just a few minutes away.
BRESCIA, Bergamo and the Valcamonica ski resort are also in the vicinity, as well as the national park of prehistoric engravings in Valle Camonica, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Milan –Venice Motorway (A4), exit Rovato, is just 12 km away.
