45 minutes from South of Toulouse, the Chateau de Riveneuve du Bosc is a 17th century mansion, enlarged in the 19 th by Jules de Lahondès, famous historian and artist. Overlooking the Pyrénées mountains, within a park of 5,6 acres with centenary trees and private swimming pool. You will appreciate the pleasure of country life and taste the products of local farms. Idealy located to discover the Chateaux Cathares (20 minutes from Chateau Montségur), Carcassonne City (45 minutes), Toulouse and 45 minutes from the ski ressorts in the Pyrénées. Riveneuve is an exquise place to guest a large family. The Chateau has been renovated to offer a lovely and confortable stay when ever the season (central hiting)and can guest up to 28 people: 8 double rooms, 2 single rooms and 2 small rooms for children in the tower.

5 Août 2005: Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable à Riveneuve! Une bonne vingtaine d'amis sont venus des quatre coins du monde (Norvège, Suisse, France, Angleterre, Espagne, Etats-Unis, Allemagne, Nouvelle-Zélande, Australie, Equateur, Islande, Grèce) pour fêter mes 30 ans dans ce château si merveilleusement décoré. Nous avons tous été des chevaliers et gentesdames pendant une semaine géniale! Encore merci pour votre gentillesse, votre serviabilité, et de m'avoir permis de célébrer mon grand jour ici! A great stay, terrible weather though ! The house is super lots of character. Long nights in the dining room made up for the rain! Foix, Carcassonne, the underground caves all worth a visit. Foix market on friday and Pamiers on Saturday.Mirepoix worth a trip and a fabulous Relais for lunch! Thank you !

We have had a great week. The weather has improved.30°C today! Everyone has enjoyed the pool and lovely garden. The chateau is beautiful and very well equipped, the table football was great. Mirepoix is a beautiful town and we also had a superb lunch at the Relais. We also visited Carcassonne, Montségur, the Niaux and Bedeillac caves (the children enjoyed Beideillac). We found a good pizza in Pamiers “Don Camillo”. There is a Huit a Huit in La Tour du Crieu and Carrefour about 3 miles. Many thanks!
