La Bastidane means the lady living in a country house.
The Bastidane is located amidst vines and olives-trees, 2,5 km away from the charming village of Cotignac whose name means “quince paste”. The quince pear of Cydonie or apple of love, symbol of the love and happiness for the Greeks and Romans is still cultivated in the village for the jams.
The swimming pool (9mx4.5m) is built according to the shape of irrigation basins formerly found in Provence. Large chairs, armchairs await you to bronze and relax. In front of the swimming pool, the kiosk is reserved for the breakfast and candlelight evenings (mistral permitting), where Annette and Marc offer you to share their culinary savours savours of Provence.
